KUNSTDURIHAUA

Durihaua (gos.) => Durchmacher (ger.) => Doorhaler (ned.) => All-Nighter (eng.)

Don't know if those translations are correct, but let's use them anyway.

To qualify for a Durihaua
1) Stay up all night until at least noon the next day. The nice thing about the word is,
that if you did it, you ARE and you HAVE a Durihaua at the same time.
Erich Fromm bittfüruns.

WHY? Let me answer this question with a little story.
Once upon a time I held a record in the village I grew up - maybe I am still holding it, I have no knowledge about that - because for 11 weekends in a row I was out until noon the next day or later. I broke the record of my best friend who managed to do 9. Back then I learned that sleep deprivation is a drug I like.

I am full of creative intentions that are pondering and rumbling (ein kreatives Grummeln) from the inside against my outside for a while now. Then I read that Douglas Park is doing an exhibition in WEST Den Haag*, where he will also perform a 24 hour marathon interview. I contacted him and the gallery if I could drop by, I started reading his texts and off I go to my own little 24-hour-mini-residency.

WHAT? Every two hours, starting from Saturday, June 4th, 8PM until Sunday, June 5th, 8PM I will publish a text (words or sound) on waschtrommelkino.at . It will somehow be connected with the 24 hour marathon interview I guess, as I will be there. I will miss the last two hours though, because I will finish at Mezrab in Amsterdam as the season finale of VERSO** will happen there on Sunday, June 5th, 8PM.
The texts will be (in alphabethical order) in Dutch, English, German, Gosingerisch.
